Start up right.
- February 19th, 2008
As I’ve been researching how best to set up my Fast Track readers, I came across StartupNation and thought you’d be stoked to hear about it if you haven’t already.
It’s basically a free and remarkably exhaustive web-service for entrepreneurs. They make their money from advertisers so we get it gratis. It was created as a kind of one stop shop to give you access to the stuff you need to start up right.
If you grab a coffee, take a deep breath and dive in, I suspect you’ll find it really helpful. The deep breath is just because there’s a lot to absorb and you might be tempted to get a little overwhelmed.
Don’t give in though! Just be stoked it’s there for you, especially if you’re just getting going. When you compare it to trying to figure all this stuff out on your own, you’ll realize just how cool it really is.
To quote Seth who put me on to these guys (Founders Rich and Jeff Sloan) in a recent audiocast, “I sure wish I had this when I was getting started.”
Hope it helps.

This is so great! It is a perfect resource for me as I start my business this year. I am loving the “Fast Track Photographer” way.
Thank you!

Very cool–wish I had this 10 years ago.
Question: do you consider a photographer an entrepreneur?

You talk, I listen and take action. It is how I roll. :-)
Erik, a photographer that is self-employed is most definitely an entrepreneur - it isn’t just the pretty pictures that keep the bills paid! A strong entrepreneur spirit really helps keep things rolling!
