    twitterfeed is cool

If you haven’t found it already, twitterfeed is a pretty sweet, automated way to keep people up on your blog while they follow you on twitter.

    Check it out.

PS … Quick heads up for those of you going to RHU’s Missional Photography Intensive … This evening, Jessica will be teasing out how to pick the best exposure. See you tonight!

    It’s coming …

    It's coming ...

Thanks to Eddie for commemorating the day the first complete draft got done!

Things are rolling now through final edits and polish, jacket cover design, formatting, proofreading, cool updates to the pDNA, securing ISBN’s and Library of Congress numbers … this thing is getting so fun.

I can’t thank you guys enough … especially the Founders. I also have some fun announcements coming soon on the roll out so stay tuned.

    Me, Mike and Jess

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about whether or not people could join the Missional Photography class at RHU with me, Mike and Jessica, even if you missed week #1.

The answer is YES. So, for those who can, be sure to register and show up tomorrow night!

    Keep it fresh.

PS … We’re working on getting all the audio content for the course up but because we offer so many Intensives run almost exclusively by volunteers, it takes a couple weeks to get it all dialed in. Thanks for your patience. Thanks too to Matthew for the picture of the three of us above. -ds

Last night & “why I sometimes wish I was a girl”

    rhuonline.org

Last night, when I was teaching with Jess and Mike, we noticed pretty quickly that the audience was from all over the map in terms of experience. None of that is a problem. In fact, it was awesome to see so many people into wanting to grow in their ability to tell story through photo.

    rhuonline.org

Of course, Mike and Jess were their usual fantastic selves but I was really self-conscious of wanting to make the content relevant to everyone, regardless of their background.

What was great, especially for those newer to photography, was that I was able to find language learned from my friend Me Ra on how to make normally complex ideas remarkably accessible.

I find myself wanting more of that kind of thing but all her sweet workshops are only for the ladies … and Brian … what’s up with that? LOL! Despite my bitterness, I wanted to give an un-sponsored plug of her workshops. She’s a remarkable photographer, writer, teacher and friend.

Just a heads up though … I think the one in San Diego is already sold out and I think there’s just a couple spots left in Sonoma.

Here’s what ladies having fun apparently looks like …

If you do make it into Sonoma and you sign up with a friend, I’m pretty sure you can get 25% off for both of you while there’s space. Check it out!

    Keep it communal.

PS … Special thanks to my friend and fantastic shooter Brienne for her blog post images of last night! I can’t wait for next week! If you still want in, click here.

    Pictage’s New Blog

    The All New Pictage Blog

I was stoked that Pictage graciously highlighted me, Fast Track and my site suite on their all new blog.

I’ve been with Pictage since I started my business and can’t believe the relief and benefits they’ve provided me … as a lab, fulfillment house and so much more.

    Thanks Pictage!

PS … The workshop I announced on Friday starts tonight. If you’re still interested in signing up, click here. If you have to miss a particular week, don’t let that stop you if you want to join in. Also, if you register, consider your spot reserved. Just bring your check or cash to the Intensive. Can’t wait to see you guys!
