Wow...the comments left are just about as informative as the video itself! I am without a doubt a control freak but fall in line with what Matt S. said above. I am curious to see though the meat behind what Becker was saying. Very interested!

I am a combo between you, Dane, and Becker. I love photoshopping my own personal style of imagery that goes WAY beyond color correction, for album design and big print sales etc. But for basic small / medium prints for the masses, I have no qualms about outsourcing something as simple as color correction. It's something that EVERY half-decent photographer should be able to do, so I don't feel like I'm giving up any of MY signature style / brand by letting someone else take care of it. And the bottom line is that time means more to me than money. I don't want to be rich. I want to live life. (And serve God...)

Oh my goodness, that was so much fun to watch!! I think I almost wet my pants that day when we were filming!! Bronson doing his dance along the wall is still forever burned in my memory. Where would we be without the guys at Shoot Dot Edit?!!

I'm with you Steve D! Having never published before I am amazed at the details required to get the thing over the finish line. We are inches away. I'll even go so far as to say pre-orders will start as early as end of next week or the following. Thanks for your patience!!! I can't wait for you guys to see the final product.

Loved Me Ra's comment from her business coach. Do what you're best at and outsource the rest. I hope I remember that when I have more weddings and events than I can process effectively.

Thanks for sharing Dane. When is that book coming? You've teased long enough!

Dane, you rock my man. I admire both you & Becker, and am always encouraged by both of you and your willingness to share. Having a strong infrastructure is so important & I'm somewhere between the two of you- a little control, yet wanting to trust others with more. Hope you have a great day! Thanks again.

I think this is a great tool for people!

I personally am like Mr. B, and like to do everything ourselves (mostly because we're control freaks :D) but I know a lot of people who it would take FOREVER to edit all their photos and can't get things done quickly, or do SO MANY weddings that they don't have time for anything else, then I think this is a must for those people. So I guess I agree with both of you. :-D

I love you Becker. I really do.

All I know is besides shooting my weddings, all I do is fedex a hard drive and it's all taken care of, right through fulfillment, album sales and delivery. That's a huge value that I'm pretty happy with. If I were you, I'm sure I'd prefer your set up. It's custom fit for you!

What's funny to me though is that it seems the main differences between your workflow and my workflow is that yours is in house (which I totally respect) and mine is almost exclusively outsourced (except for engagement editing which I love to do and blogging), which for me, is a fantastic solution. I do suspect you're right that in house can be objectively cheaper to do things.

But, if you don't want post work done in your studio (or your home) and want to avoid maintaining in house staffing, payroll, work stations, maintenance, management, etc., etc. it sure seems like my flow is at least a good alternative.

Did I mention I love you?! Thanks for loving me back :) .. xoxo.
