    Hi

I was just wondering what happened to simple photo minute? I am looking for that interview you did with jessica claire and becker and other photographers of what’s in their bag…

  4. Dane Says:

    Dane,

I purchased the audiobook on Friday and I’ve listened to it twice!! The book and you are incredible, by far the best money I’ve ever spent. Keep it up and thanks a million.

Love it Dane, i wanna go for another drive to finish it now.

  7. Lanne Says:

Absolutely BRILLIANT. Can’t wait to finish it! THANK YOU… finally something which is clear – and informative.. without the arrogance and self promotion and self serving that goes on in this industry. I have let myself and my business down by not doing what I do best… children.. instead I have tried to ‘build a stable business’ when in fact I needed to ensure I specialised and focused on what my unique strengths are. So Thank YOU! My thinking has been around this for a few weeks and your book has made it much clearer for me.
Back to listening! (oh and I was right – hearing YOU say it makes your intention clearer :) HIGHLY recommending the audio book!!

Bro, I am SO STOKED that this labor of love is finally a reality. Sitting here listening to the audio books is so encouraging not only because of the content (which is awesome), but getting to hear your voice just takes it to another level. The honesty and candor in your tone just makes the message that much more powerful!

Thank you for always being such a giving, open, and honest visionary!

    Dane,

I Love the Book!!!! I listen to it in my car, and I have to say that it’s kind of funny when I start my car in the morning, and you start talking to me :)

DS, I must have listened to chapter 2, 3 and 4 of your audio book a few times. I couldn’t help but to take more notes of the nuggets that you presents to us. I am blown away with your practicality and honestly. Thanks again for keeping it real brother, I’ve already sold two for you and hopefully will send more to get it.

  11. David Medina Says:

    WOW!

I just finished reading the book. My professional life won’t be the same. This was a reality check I needed to have. This book is well written and well illustrated by real life examples. Even if you don’t agree with some of the thing Dane talk about, you will be challenge by and force you to figure why you do what you do.

If I am honest I must admit that I found myself on a rot. While 2006 and 2007 has been good years of growth and learning, 2008 hasn’t been that good. My booking have gone down and 2009 wasn’t looking any better. My business was grinding to a halt and I could not explain why. I have been struggling with the questions of what was I doing wrong? or, better yet, what do I have to do to succeed. I knew I had the talent and the passion but knew that there was something missing but I could not explain it. I have tried many of the things I have heard from those who have made it, and while they all are great ideas and suggestions, and I know they have work for them, they weren’t working for me, not at least in the same degree. I could not explain it, I was doing everything I was told but it didn’t seem to be working.

I am a man of faith, so I asked God to show me, to lead me. I do believe that Dane’s book was God sent. I truly believe that. From the very first page I felt challenged. I knew many of my preconceived ideas were going to be shattered, but I knew I have to open my mind and let what I was reading sink in and stir up my mind. And it did.

I have tons of book about photography, about photoshop, about lighting, about marketing and selling. I have read almost every book DJ or Mike Colón recommended. All those books are good, but none of them teach you about how to be a photographer in the 21th century.

Fast Track Photographer with the pDNA have help me to understand why everything I was trying wasn’t working. But better yet, it taught me that to make it work for me I first need to understand some very fundamental things about myself and what I seek to offer to the world. It taught me how to take workshops and others experience, analyze it, deconstruct it and then adapt it to me and my situation.

His analysis of success stories like Mike Colón, Jasmine Star and others are very helpful and challenging. He also covers some pitfalls we need to avoid.

One of the thing I like the most about the book is that is not a get rich book or a book about get focus on success or about making money. Yes, it covers a lot of those things. You know if you take to heart Dane’s advices and experiences, it can help you be more successful and make more money. But I think Dane’s wants to go further and deeper than that. I think that he wants us to see that we have an opportunity to leave a mark in our piece of the world, that we can go beyond merely using our talents to better our own lives but to touch others lives. He does this not in a poetic or cliché way, but with a real intent as a man that does believe it.

There is much more I can say about Fast Track Photographer and for certain I have become a “virus” for the book. I believe and strongly suggest that if you are new to the industry or are considering getting, Fast Track Photographer is a must read. Don’t take another step, don’t spend another cent until you read this book. And if you are a seasoned photographer, specially one that , like me, fell you are spinning your wheels in place, you got to read this book with an open mind, Let it work on you, and I guarantee you won’t be the same. I know I am not the same, and I am more excited and committed like never before because now I know who I am, and why I do what I do.

Dane, thanks for the book, for the pDNA and for giving of yourself. I know that God is and will continue to bless you, your family and your business. I am looking forward to personally thank you at WPPI.

I must say that I am in the process of listening to your Fast Track Photographer audio book now and it is just what I needed. I’ve waited for it for quite some time now and even though I am scheduled to get a copy from Photography Mentor I had to go ahead and buy the audio version because I couldn’t wait any longer. After being a follower of your Simple Photo Minute videos I could not wait to hear the words of what appears to be a good-hearted person in a business I would like to excel in. I just want to thank you Dane for sharing. You are definitely a signature photographer whose willingness to share and humble attitude is something I want to take into my photography as I develop my business. I am even considering OmniFocus because of your suggestion but I am sure I will choose what works best for me and my clients. I want to keep this short but I do want to say that the friendship and willingness to share that I saw on the Simple Photo Minute clips with Becker, Jessica Claire and many others inspired me so much as a developing photographer. The words you share in your book are worth much more than the price. I have gotten myself involved with some of the people I have met on PhotographyMentor and will be attending my first PUG meeting in September. My passion does not appear to be wedding photography (who knows, that may change after listening to this book)but I feel I can learn so much for years to come even if (when) my business becomes as successful as I would like it to be. Defining that success for me would simply mean being able to support my family through photography and create images that strike emotion for my clients and all who look at them. Simple but hard. I hope to learn how to attack that daunting task from your teachings and others. I am one who believes in the laws of attraction and positive thinking. Of all the photography purchases I have made over the past 2 or 3 years, your book is truly the one I feel most positive about and attracted to in the sense that I had to have it and have it now. Thank you Dane for sharing and being the teacher you are. I hope to someday be asked, “Ken, your photography seems so inspired and full of emotion. Who has been one of the more influential photographers in your life?”. I will gladly respond Dane Sanders … not because of his photography (which is extraordinary), not because of his book(s) (I’m sure you will have more) but because of the person and what he represented as a photographer and a late blooming photographer. Thanks again Dane!
