Tyler and Mike | San Diego, CA

- May 11th, 2010

Tyler and Mike’s wedding in San Diego, California had been in the works for over a year… and it wasn’t easy to plan either!

The couple had to plan the international event from Australia.

With that kind of distance, the Bowman’s (Tyler’s parents) were keen on making this event one to remember.

From little touches like Tyler’s Jimmy Choo’s…

… and putting greens.

It was champagne and celebrations for all.

Dr. Bowman was looking pretty proud all day long.

Mike, a former professional rugby player in Australia and now med student, was all smiles as well. Add in Tyler, a former University of Arizona volleyball player, and it is a sure bet that their children will be stronger, faster and better looking than all their friends.

The ceremony at the campus of the University of San Diego and it was just gorgeous. I love shooting there.

The girls were stunning.

The Australian boys were pretty popular too.

But none were more in love than these two.

Their getaway car was full of affection.

And getaway they did.

Stunning.

In love.

Made for each other.

Bless you guys. Thanks so much for letting me play a part. Can’t wait to catch up with you both down under!

- Dane

PS… special thanks has to go out to Michelle Woodcock of Before I Do for her fantastic coordination, Florist Annette Gomez for her amazing work (she was also on Tory and Dean last night!) and Cake Artist Michele Coulon… gorgeous.

Dane, you gave me some great ideas for some wedding images with a golf course theme. I love the Groom with Bride both under her veil, just beautifully captured. I’ll look your book up “Fast Track Photographer”.

Love the wedding dress shot, great to hear you talk last month at IE.

The detail shots are very nice. I am attracted to shooting loads of detail shots at weddings and the clients are always happy with them. Many photographers overlook this element, but these things are important to the bride and groom. It also helps to break up visual monotony. Just like in a movie or TV show where they have medium, long, close up shots and they mix them up to add interest and to keep the viewer engaged (no pun intended).
